ASUS has introduced the ROG GeForce RTX 5080 Astral Dhahab Core, a luxury-themed version of its high-performance graphics card. This new release continues the company’s trend of merging premium hardware with extravagant aesthetics, echoing the gold-and-emerald styling of its RTX 5090 Dhahab Edition.
Despite the flashy appearance, the RTX 5080 Dhahab Core is functionally identical to its non-Dhahab Astral counterpart, with the same 2,790MHz OC Mode boost clock and the familiar four-fan cooling system. And yes, the 6.5g worth of pure gold is integrated into its construction to go with the ornate gold and emerald motif.
While the RTX 5090 Dhahab Edition commanded a US$7,000 price tag, the RTX 5080 version may be around US$5,000 – US$5,500 if ASUS were to deduct it solely from the GPU “downgrade”.
Yet the best thing is that the brand has listed the RTX 5080 Dhahab Core on its official US website, a move that suggests a departure from the Middle East exclusivity seen with the 5090 variant. This could signal ASUS’s intention to make its ultra-premium Dhahab line available to a wider audience beyond regional markets.
