BenQ just rolled out its new ScreenBar Halo 2 in Singapore, and it is designed to help you, especially if you spend long hours in front of a screen surrounded by darkness.
Visually designed by MINIMAL DESIGN and tailored for professionals who often work in dim or dark setups, this next-gen monitor light brings a dual-light system that lights both the front and back of your workspace, helping reduce eye strain by balancing the contrast around your screen. Assisted by researchers from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, the team has acknowledged that balanced ambient lighting can make a noticeable difference in visual comfort.
Through the same discovery, they have tuned the ScreenBar Halo 2 to meet ANSI standards by making sure the brightness ratio between your screen and surroundings stays within the ideal 3:1.
They also reworked the backlight with a triple-curvature design that covers over 400% more area than before. Combining that with the exclusive ASYM-Light design that doesn’t create screen glare, it will be a fully assistive and non-disrupting add-on that one can consider to implement in their setup.
Aside from the clips made out of zinc-alloy now for longevity and easy fitting, the newly made knob has received a facelift that can adjust a full-range brightness (0–100%) and color temp adjustments (2700K–6500K). It’s even coated to resist fingerprints—great for creatives who need clean controls for tasks like color grading.
Other notable features include auto-dimming, memory profiles, and auto on/off mode.
