ASUS has officially introduced its Pro WS Platinum series of high-wattage power supplies, designed for professional workstations running the most power-hungry components.
Available in 3000W, 2200W, and 1600W variants, these PSUs are engineered to support up to four GeForce RTX 5090 or NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 graphics cards, making them suitable for advanced workloads like 3D rendering, AI model training, and scientific simulations.
Despite their output, each unit measures just 175mm in length, offering a compact footprint that improves case compatibility and eases cable routing. The PSUs feature gold-plated copper PCIe pins, dual-ball bearing fans, and extruded aluminum heatsinks, all aimed at boosting longevity and thermal efficiency.
ASUS states that connector temperatures can drop by up to 10°C compared to standard 12V-2×6 connectors, helping reduce power loss under load.
In line with the latest standards, the Pro WS Platinum series supports ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1, making them ready for upcoming high-performance components. The use of server-grade Japanese capacitors and 80 PLUS Platinum certification underscores a focus on premium efficiency. A 10-year warranty is included for long-term reliability.
Cable management is also enhanced through the use of high-flex etched cables, which include color-coded connectors to streamline installation. These cables are engineered to maintain operational safety at temperatures up to 50°C below the failure threshold.
By offering exceptional power delivery, thermal management, and build quality in a compact form factor, ASUS is aiming to meet the needs of professionals requiring robust, scalable performance in AI, simulation, and content creation environments.
