After a couple rounds of teasers, ASUS ROG just dropped in the Middle East for the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Dhahab Edition, and yes, it’s as luxurious as it sounds.
“Dhahab” literally means gold in Arabic, and ROG wasn’t playing around as this thing has actual gold on it. We’re talking about 6.5 grams of 999-fineness gold embedded around the card’s outer shell. Whether the insides are golden too? That’s still a mystery until someone bold (or reckless) enough cracks it open.
Now for the price: according to Videocardz, just the gold alone is worth around $700. But the whole package? You’re looking at something like 26,000 to 30,000 SAR, 5,000 JOD, or 38,800 AED — that’s roughly between $6,700 to over $10,000 USD depending on your region. It’s very much in “crazy rich” territory, clearly meant for those who already have yachts and Lambos and want something flashier for their gaming setup.
Specs-wise, it’s still expected to perform the same as the standard ROG Astral RTX 5090 — top-tier performance, premium cooling, full software support. And sure, gold is a decent thermal conductor in theory, but with only 6.5 grams of it, don’t expect it to replace your heatsinks. Still, if you’re installing one of these in your rig, you’re not doing it for temps — you’re doing it for the flex.
