MSI is building anticipation for COMPUTEX 2025 with a preview of its latest QD-OLED gaming monitors, spotlighting the integration of AI-powered smart features and cutting-edge display specs.
Leading the announcement is the MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50, which MSI claims to be the world’s first 27-inch 2K gaming monitor to support a blistering 500Hz refresh rate.
This is made possible by Samsung’s third-generation QD-OLED panel technology, which combines high-speed 0.03ms GtG response times, vivid color reproduction, deep blacks, and ultra-smooth motion handling. It’s also VESA-certified for ClearMR 21000 and DisplayHDR True Black 500, reinforcing its focus on top-tier motion clarity and contrast.
Joining it is the MAG 272QP QD-OLED X50, a similar model tuned for both esports and professional users. It delivers high color fidelity with 99% DCI-P3 coverage and maintains low input latency, making it a versatile option for competitive gaming and color-sensitive workflows alike.
Both monitors introduce a new AI feature dubbed “AI Care Sensor”, powered by an NPU-based IC and an always-on CMOS sensor. This system detects user presence every 0.2 seconds, ensuring the display only remains active when someone is in front of it – an approach that not only improves energy efficiency but also helps extend the life of the OLED panel. MSI also hints at customizable settings tied to presence detection, adding a personalized touch to this smart monitoring.
