GIGABYTE has released BIOS updates for its TRX50 motherboard lineup, adding full support for AMD’s recently launched Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series and Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000 WX-series processors.
The new firmware, featuring Combo-AGESA 1.0.0.0 or later, is now available for the TRX50 AERO D and TRX50 AI TOP models. This update allows users to take full advantage of AMD’s TSMC 4nm architecture on GIGABYTE’s high-performance workstation platform.
To simplify the upgrade process, GIGABYTE offers multiple BIOS update tools, including @BIOS, Q-Flash, and Q-Flash Plus. The company says it is working closely with AMD to ensure fast and reliable updates for early adopters of high-end desktop and workstation solutions.
The move comes as AMD pushes its latest Threadripper CPUs deeper into the prosumer and workstation markets, where compatibility and performance tuning are critical. With these updates, GIGABYTE positions its TRX50 platform as a ready-made solution for professionals seeking next-gen performance.
The updated BIOS is now available on GIGABYTE’s official website.
