BIWIN’s heading to COMPUTEX 2025, and they’re bringing some pretty powerful gear with them. Under their theme “Built to Win,” they’re showing off a lineup of storage solutions that are all about speed, reliability, and high performance.
Kicking things off, they’ve got the new Black Opal X570 PRO and X570 SSDs. These use the PCIe 5.0 interface and can hit crazy fast speeds of up to 14GB/s read and 13GB/s write. The PRO model is especially stacked, with a 4GB DRAM cache, a 6nm controller, and an 8-channel setup that’s all tuned for better efficiency and throughput. Even the standard X570, which doesn’t have DRAM, can push up to 14.5GB/s reads using Host Memory Buffer and dynamic SLC caching.
They’re also showing off new DRAM under the Black Opal name. The highlight here is the OC Lab Gold Edition DW100 RGB DDR5 192GB kit of high-speed memory available in DDR5-6400 CL30 and DDR5-6000 CL28 configurations. These are aimed at serious users and fully optimized for the latest AMD platforms.
On the portable side, the Amber PR2000 SSD looks pretty handy. It’s built for simplicity but still delivers up to 2000MB/s reads and 1800MB/s writes via USB 3.2 Gen2×2. It’s rugged too, as its IP67-rated for water and dust, drop-resistant up to 3 meters, and available in capacities up to 8TB. Great option for creators or anyone working out in the field.
They’ve also got CFexpress 4.0 cards on display in the Amber CB500 (Type B) and CA400 (Type A). These are aimed at professional video work. The CB500 goes up to 3750MB/s read and 3500MB/s write, while the CA400 hits 1850MB/s and 1750MB/s, respectively. Both are designed for 8K and 12K video capture and come with VPG400 certification, strong thermal management, and full protection against harsh conditions.
If you’re around for COMPUTEX, you can check all of this out in person at Hall 1, Booth #J1028 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center.
