ROG has announced a collaboration with Bethesda and id Software to release a limited-edition graphics card themed around DOOM: The Dark Ages, the upcoming prequel in the long-running shooter franchise.
The announcement coincides with ASUS’s 30-year milestone in the GPU market and delivers the Astral GeForce RTX 5080 in a fresh coat of green-and-gold paint combined with custom backplate artwork, gold-accented components, and thematic fan designs inspired by the game’s Shield Saw weapon. It also includes subtle visual elements that reference in-game lore, appealing to both gamers and collectors.
Available exclusively through the Bethesda Gear Store, the GPU is bundled with a set of themed merchandise: an exclusive T-shirt, mouse mat, yellow key card, an ROG-only in-game DOOM Slayer Legionary skin, and an optional Premium Edition of the game.
DOOM: The Dark Ages is being developed on the new idTech8 engine, featuring native ray tracing and support for NVIDIA DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation. When paired with RTX 50 Series cards like the ROG Astral RTX 5080, the game is ready to unleash its full potential to deliver high framerates and enhanced image quality, thanks to the redesigned thermal solution incorporating a vapor chamber, phase-change pads, and four Axial-tech fans.
