GIGABYTE Technology has officially announced that its entire lineup of Intel Z890 motherboards now fully supports Intel 200S Boost technology, offering gamers a streamlined performance upgrade while maintaining warranty coverage.
The feature simplifies overclocking for mainstream gamers by introducing pre-configured profiles for Intel Core Ultra 200S Series processors, raising clock frequencies across CPU components to improve gaming framerates and overall system responsiveness. GIGABYTE users can activate the feature through a one-touch setting in the BIOS, removing the complexity traditionally associated with overclocking. Additionally, it supports Intel XMP memory profiles up to DDR5-8000 speeds.
Notably, using it will still be covered by Intel’s standard 3-year processor warranty — a key reassurance for users seeking higher performance without risking hardware support. To enable the feature, users will need a K-SKU CPU and XMP-compatible memory modules. GIGABYTE provides an updated Qualified Vendor List (QVL) to help users select optimal memory kits.
More information and update instructions are available on GIGABYTE’s official website here, but for simplicity’s sake, find the ones with “200S Boost” text.
