ASUS and GIGABYTE have revealed their own AMD Radeon RX 9070 series GPU,s so let’s see what models they are shelling out.
The TUF and PRIME series has been selected for ASUS with the former including a Dual BIOS switch, allowing users to toggle between performance and quiet modes effortlessly. Additionally, ASUS GPU Tweak III software provides in-depth performance tuning and hardware monitoring. A key innovation in this generation is the use of a phase-change GPU thermal pad, which shifts from solid to liquid when heated, improving thermal conductivity and durability compared to traditional thermal paste.
On the other hand, the Prime series features a more streamlined design while retaining phase-change GPU thermal pads, dual-ball fan bearings, a Dual BIOS switch, 0dB technology, and an aluminum backplate—all at a more budget-friendly price.
Meanwhile, GIGABYTE is leading the lineup with AORUS-class Radeon RX 9070 XT in the ELITE design, featuring the flagship WINDFORCE cooling system. This includes the new Hawk Fan, multiple heat pipes, and Screen Cooling for optimal thermal management. The card also boasts RGB Halo lighting with swirling patterns and vortex-inspired effects, creating a visually striking display. The front panel integrates layered textures with varying finishes, balancing durability with aesthetics.
Additionally, aerospace-grade PCB coating, Dual BIOS with a Silent mode, and ULTRA DURABLE-certified components enhance reliability. Its advanced power design contributes to lower component temperatures, reduced noise, and minimal signal interference.
Meanwhile, the standard GIGABYTE GAMING series offers both the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070. This generation introduces customizable fluid RGB lighting with a sliding side plate, allowing for a more dynamic showcase.
Across all models, the Radeon RX 9070 series features a metal backplate with a bent edge, firmly secured to the I/O bracket. The AORUS ELITE variant further includes a GPU anti-slant holder to prevent sagging.
