be quiet! has expanded its PSU lineup with the introduction of the Power Zone 2.
Returning after a 12-year gap, the new model builds on the legacy of its predecessor, featuring a 140mm Pure Wings 3 fan that enables semi-passive cooling for quiet yet efficient operation. It is designed to handle heavy loads reliably while maintaining low noise levels.
Despite retaining a traditional single-rail design, the Power Zone 2 fully supports the latest ATX 3.1 standard and includes a 12V-2x6 600W connector for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50/40 GPUs. For users who don’t require the 12V-2x6, the PSU also offers three PCIe 6+2 connectors. The 12V-2x6 cable features a 90° angled connector for improved compatibility and aesthetics, while modular flat black cables simplify cable management.
The PSU is built on a half-bridge LLC topology with synchronous rectification and DC/DC conversion, ensuring high-performance output through a robust 12V rail. Its start-up curve is optimized to reduce noise fluctuations, and the unit continues running for 2-5 minutes after heavy loads to minimize wear.
In terms of certification, the Power Zone 2 has achieved A+ and higher Lambda ratings, along with Cybenetics Platinum and 80 PLUS Platinum certifications, delivering up to 94% efficiency.
