SG$1,288 is the starting price for the new Samsung Galaxy S25 series in Singapore

The brand new Samsung Galaxy S25 series smartphones have been officially announced across the world and here’s the info for the Singapore market.

And as expected, the overall design changes are, “minimum”, as the Korean brand decided to stay true to what’s working and instead focusing on expanding the capabilities of Galaxy AI.

That sentiment is further emphasized by the S25 and S25+ since what they got is essentially an SoC upgrade and practically nothing else. Meanwhile, the S25 Ultra at least has a slightly larger screen and mildly rounded corners for this generation.

Additionally, the S25 Ultra is the first smartphone in the industry to utilize the Corning Gorilla Armor 2 which is an ultra-durable, anti-reflective glass ceramic that maintains screen clarity which is technically a full upgrade on all aspects compared to last year.

In terms of how Samsung is elevating the AI game, they have adopted a multimodal AI agents approach where each expertly-trained AI algorithms are united under a contextual-understanding LLM that interfaces with users on the front end to guide requests and prompts to said “backend AIs”.

They have further refined productivity features like Circle to Search, Call Transcript, Writing Assist, Drawing Assist, as well as imaging-related Audio Eraser and Virtual Aperture. Not only that, security has been amped up as well with Post Quantum Cryptography that futureproofs the device in case quantum-based brute force techniques come way sooner than humanity thinks.
