PNY has announced the general availability of its new DDR5 SODIMM RAM modules to address the market’s demand for more system memory that is based on the DDR5 standard.
These modules fully adhere to the specification and in-built technology to allow up to 5600MHz with a CAS latency of only 46. Other than that, larger capacity per die contributes to kits of 32GB and 64GB for some beefy upgrades. Operating at an ultra-low voltage of 1.1V, the DDR5 modules integrate on-die ECC support for reduced voltage wear and noise generation in addition to the PMIC allowing better power management and flexibility for voltage adjustments.
PNY stated that it will start shipping stocks worldwide beginning mid-January at the price of US$82.99 for 32GB and US$149.99 for 64GB respectively but do check in with your local DIY shops for actual regional figures.
