Alienware, Dell’s gaming division, made an appearance at CES 2025, showcasing a range of innovative products designed to push the boundaries of gaming and performance.
One of the highlights is the return of the ‘Area-51’ series, encompassing both desktops and laptops. The new Area-51 desktop is a full-size 80L tower engineered for peak performance. It supports configurations up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPU, powered by a high-wattage PSU with additional overhead for stable current delivery. Its modular design accommodates upgrades to key components, including the motherboard, power supply, CPU, GPU, RAM, storage, and fans.
Cooling has been reimagined with dual 140mm, 180mm, and optional 120mm fans for liquid cooling, achieving up to 13% lower temperatures and 45% less noise during demanding tasks. Maintenance is simplified with removable air filters and QR codes linking to instructional videos. Sustainability is also a focus, with 85% of the chassis made from post-consumer recycled plastics and power supply units crafted with recycled steel and copper.
The laptop lineup for 2025 offers 16-inch and 18-inch models, both featuring a revamped chassis that supports various Intel Core Ultra CPUs and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series Laptop GPUs with up to 280W total power consumption. These laptops provide impressive storage configurations, supporting up to 12TB of PCIe 5.0 SSDs, along with DDR5 RAM running at speeds of up to 7200MT/s.
The Cryo-tech cooling system enhances airflow by 37% while reducing noise levels by 15%. The design is equally captivating, boasting a Liquid Teal anodized aluminum finish, Aurora Borealis-inspired lighting, and a translucent thermal shelf illuminated by AlienFX animations.
Alienware also unveiled the 2025 Aurora series of desktops, a mid-size tower catering to gamers seeking a compact yet powerful solution. This lineup integrates Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs.
In the gaming monitor segment, Alienware introduced the Alienware 27 4K QD-OLED. It features a 240Hz refresh rate, a 99% DCI-P3 color gamut, Delta E<2 color accuracy, Dolby Vision HDR, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. It includes adaptive sync technologies from NVIDIA, AMD, and VESA, as well as a switch for toggling between DCI-P3 and sRGB color spaces, making it versatile for both gaming and professional creative work.
Other notable features include HDMI 2.1 FRL support with Variable Refresh Rate and eARC, Alienware Command Center 6.6 compatibility, and anti-OLED burn-in technology using an AL algorithm and a graphite sheet. The monitor’s AW30 design language is presented in an Interstellar Indigo finish.
