A couple of months ago ASUS Singapore brought in the ProArt PA602 Wood Edition chassis for some classy, forest zen PC build vibe but for today, it is time for the ProArt PA401 Wood Edition.
It continues the use of ash wood front panels, certified by the Forest Stewardship Council® for sustainability and style as it undergoes a meticulous six-stage process, including thermowood treatment and a two-step coating, which enhances its natural grain and provides a low-sheen finish. Users can further personalize their build by selecting either a tempered glass side panel to showcase internal components or a metal panel for durability and a sleek black finish.
The open-grille front panel optimizes airflow to its dual 160 x 32mm intake fans, delivering up to 138 cfm of airflow while the backside sees the 120mm fan doing the exhaust. Additionally, a PWM control on the front panel allows users to adjust fan modes effortlessly, making it ideal for both casual and intensive workflows.
Assembly is user-friendly as well thanks to its tool-free design with the side panels removable with a button press while a detachable rear bracket simplifies power supply installation. The case also supports tool-free 3.5-inch HDD installation and provides rear cable clips for tidy wiring. Users can choose to mount their graphics card vertically or horizontally to suit their preferences.
For added convenience, the front panel includes multiple USB ports, including a 20Gbps USB Type-C® port and two USB 3.0 Type-A ports. A physical lock latch prevents accidental presses of the power and reset buttons. Dust filters on the front and bottom ensure components stay clean, even in high-airflow scenarios.
