Nothing has recently announced they have pushed out the OS 3.0 system update to the latest smartphones with older devices getting it in early 2025.
This new version will come with a new native Nothing Gallery app that packs advanced search functions as well as expanded editing tools like filters, markup, and suggestions to give you more flexibility and choices in sorting through the heaps and mountains of images and videos you’ve stored in your Nothing Phone.
Fun is also part of the plan as the Shared Widgets to bridge additional interaction with friends and families through the newly design lock screen that is also fully customizable. Aside from that, one may find productivity widgets like the Countdown Widget (I think home cooks following recipes would appreciate this) and an AI-powered Smart Drawer that automatically sorts apps into the folder so no more manual drag and drop.
Other notable upgrades include improved Quick Settings, enhanced Pop-up View, various visual and performance optimizations, as well as a slightly revamped typography.
Availability
Nothing OS 3.0 is currently rolling out to Phone (2) and Phone (2a) so be sure to check if it is already available for your region. Meanwhile, Phone (1), Phone (2a) Plus, and CMF Phone 1 will receive it later.
