MSI has officially launched its latest Z890 motherboard series, designed for Intel’s new Core Ultra 200S desktop processors.
Fans of the new Arrow Lake-based processors will be able to grab 1 of 5 available SKUs including the Core Ultra 9 285K, Core Ultra 7 265K/265KF, and Core Ultra 5 245K/245KF for the Z890 chipset, along with MSI’s versatile product tiers, offers options ranging from value-focused PRO and MAG series to the mid-and high-end MPG and MEG series, a wide range of users will be able to pick and customize the most suitable pairing for their needs.
The Z890 chipset supports DRAM frequencies of up to 9200MT/s and features an optimized BIOS with AI Boost and Game Boost. These tools dynamically adjust power settings for optimal performance, power efficiency, and stability, requiring minimal user input.
MSI also introduced “Ultra Connect,” a new branding for its top-tier connectivity in 2024, combining Thunderbolt 4, PCIe 5.0, Intel Killer 5G LAN, and Wi-Fi 7 for ultra-fast peripheral and network speeds.

- MEG Z890: Flagship models like GODLIKE and UNIFY-X offer up to 26-phase VRM designs for stable, high-power delivery. Exclusive features include the Tuning Controller with Debug LED for UNIFY-X, and Thunderbolt 5/M.2 XPANDER-Z SLIDER GEN 5 expansion cards for GODLIKE.
- MPG Z890: With 20-phase power and 110A smart power stages, Intel Killer networking, Thunderbolt 4, and efficient cooling, this series is ideal for mid-to-high-end builds without overspending on a motherboard.
- MAG Z890: Known for its reliability and value, models like the TOMAHAWK WIFI feature a 16-phase power system, 90A smart power stages, extended heatsinks, next-gen connectivity, and ample USB-C and USB-A ports to handle various peripherals.
- PRO Z890: The most affordable tier, designed for professionals and everyday users, comes with MSI’s EZ features for easy assembly, along with Wi-Fi 7 and Thunderbolt 4, powered by up to a 16-phase power design.
