Samsung Singapore has announced they are bringing in the latest 990 EVO Plus SSD packing cutting-edge NAND manufacturing technology with better performance, larger capacities, and enhanced power efficiency.
Build with 8th generation V-NAND technology and a 5nm controller, this PCIe 4.0 drive is capable of churning sequential read speeds up to 7,250 MB/s and write speeds up to 6,300 MB/s while power efficiency gets a great lift as well with 73% improvement thanks to the nickel-coated heat shield.
Starting with this model, Samsung will also be introducing a 4TB capacity option for those seeking the biggest and fastest drive they can get. It also comes with TurboWrite 2.0 for faster file transfers and reduced lag.
Specifically, the 4TB model achieves impressive random read/write speeds of 1,050K and 1,400K IOPS respectively, rivaling DRAM-equipped SSDs without using DRAM cache. This makes it ideal for gaming and AI tasks requiring high performance.
As usual, it is out-of-the-box compatible with Samsung Magician software for easy health monitoring, performance optimization, and health monitoring.

Available from late October onwards, the Samsung 990 EVO Plus is priced at S$159 for 1TB, S$268 for 2TB, and S$479 for 4TB, acquirable via the Samsung Online Store as well as Lazada and Shopee.
