NETGEAR has announced they have brought in the new Orbi 970 series WiFi routers that come with the latest holy grail of the wireless connection protocol – WiFi 7.
The new tech expands on WiFi 6E by increasing channel width to 320 MHz, offering unprecedented speeds and performance which leads to consistent high-speed WiFi throughout the home.
In terms of bandwidth, it is said to reach up to 27Gbps not only from the WiFi 7 tech itself but also the Orbi series’ patented Quad-Band technology and Enhanced Dedicated Backhaul utilize Multi-Link Operation (MLO) to double the connection speed between router and satellites, achieving 10Gbps wireless backhaul for reduced latency.
To make sure everything is being used in the most “min-max” way, the Smart Connect feature will help connected devices choose the fastest WiFi band for each device.
As one of the most premium routers in the market, it comes packed with one 10GbE port for the Internet, one 10GbE for local, as well as four 2.5GbE while the 12 high-performance antennas allow 360-degree coverage with ease.
For additional protection, the NETGEAR Armor Powered by Bitdefender keeps connected devices monitored and countered against threats while the mobile app NETGEAR Orbi lets the user quickly set and tune the network preference to their liking.
