A week ago, ASUS joined the Intel Tech Tour and revealed several new projects and solutions but one of them caught many visitor’s eyes and that’s the cutting-edge AI sim racing demo.
Working in collaboration with ERA Advanced and Team Blue, the AI-powered racing sim is capable of capturing simulated data from the “game” as well as having AI services running in the back. All thanks to edge computing critical workloads like voice assistant, local database analysis and LLMs, and real-time voice coaching feedback – all of these are possible with ASUS’s gears.
With this, the project hopes to bridge offline and online racing sims to an even closer experience so that one can train in the online world and transition all learned skills and knowledge into the real world.
The demonstration was done with the power of ROG Zephyrus G16 with Intel Core Ultra 9 processor for the racing sim setup alongside an ASUS IoT PE3000G edge AI Computer with 12th Gen Intel Core CPU + arc A370M GPU for local AI workload processing.
There are other demonstrations at the event and they can be summarized as:
- ASUS IoT Smart Replenishment Solution – Supermarket restocking automation with ASUS IoT PE3000G, Intel OpenVINO Toolkit, and ASUS OneID IoRT Solution integrating cloud data and advanced AI to optimize retail operations
- ASUS AISVision – With Intel OpenVINO Toolkit, it is an AI-powered toolkit for computer vision and AI AOI inspection, reducing developer workload by 80%.
- Smart City – Car and People Flow Analytics powered by ASUS IoT PE3100G running advanced AI inferencing and real-time object detection; ALPR Edge AI dev kit for high-accuracy license plate recognition and efficient parking management.
- ASUS EndoAim – AI endoscopy solution, powered by Intel processors, detects and classifies polyps with high accuracy, assisting doctors in making precise diagnoses and improving healthcare outcomes.
