ENERMAX announced a couple of new products a couple of weeks ago and they come in the form of a PSU and a PC chassis. Let’s see what’s the big deal.
Setting a new standard in PSU design, the PlatiGemini is the world’s first dual-standard PSU, seamlessly integrating both the conventional 24-pin and ATX12VO’s new 10-pin-based energy-saving motherboard connectors so you’ll have no problems using the same PSU unit for your next upgrade.
At 1200W, it can easily handle a system rocking the most powerful parts to date (Hello i9-14900KS and RTX 4090?) while boasting compatibility with PCIe 5.1 and Intel AVX 3.1 standards. Equipped with a native 600W 12V-12×6 cable.
Aside from being built with only the highest-grade Japanese capacitors and achieving 80 PLUS Platinum certification, the cooling is handled by a 135mm industrial-grade dual-ball bearing fan, which operates silently until the load reaches 60% or higher. This intelligent cooling solution ensures quiet and efficient operation, providing a comfortable computing environment.
To combat dust buildup and ensure optimal performance over time, ENERMAX’s Dust-Free Rotation (D.F.R) technology ensures that no dust ever stays long. The fan undergoes an instant reversal spin cycle upon system power-on or can be manually activated by the user, keeping the internals clean and dust-free.
Completing the package, the PlatiGemini comes with premium-sleeved cables, not only providing a clean and professional look but also facilitating easy cable routing for a tidy interior.
On the other hand, check out the ENERMAX K8 PC case suited up with a unique diagonal front panel design for added style points and three pre-installed ARGB PWM fans and a built-in 6-port control hub.
The RGB settings can be selected from 21 preset lighting profiles or synchronize the lighting effects with your motherboard’s ARGB software for a fully immersive gaming experience while assembly is a breeze thanks to the built-in fan bracket at the front, allowing for easy installation up to three 120mm fans on one side and a 360mm AIO radiator on the other.
As for the front I/O panel, it is given 1x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 and 1x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, providing high-speed data transfer and compatibility with a wide range of peripherals. And also, color options are in Black and White if you’re wondering.
