OPPO has finally wrapped up its latest global launch event featuring the new Find N3 series of “Fold” and “Flip” devices. Let’s go through the unique things about them.
Let’s go for the Find N3 first. Ditching the “horizontally stretched” form factor of last-gen, the Find N3 is now more to the likes of Samsung’s offering which is longer vertically.
The Flexion Hinge is about the same as before which is already a phenomenal job done by OPPO to keep the curvature of the fold as little as possible and the device as thin as it could be.
Armed with a set of Hasselblad cameras, OPPO has also expanded upon the capabilities of Flexform Mode by implementing a dedicated UI for the camera app when launched in said mode.
This way, the phone can position itself and take photos at angles impossible for a standard smartphone.
And of course, those who buy a horizontally-folded smartphone will want more productivity out of their multi-thousand bucks device and yeah, you can slide between different apps to get around things quickly and even drag and drop selected files into emails directly.
As for the Find N3 Flip, huge attention was placed on upgrading the Cover Screen with up to 80+ native apps usable through this small yet efficient panel for the end-game goal of doing most things without “unflipping” the phone itself.
Selfies using the front camera is too boomer for your average user in 2023 so why not just use the Hasselblad cameras on the back instead? The Cover Screen will act as a preview for you to position and catch the best angles.
Under the hood is one of the latest MediaTek Dimensity series SoC coupled with graphite-layer battery to give higher than average battery life in this small and compact form factor.
