OPPO Singapore has officially put the new Pad 2 tablet for sale that offers a “jack of all trades” experience which can be a value buy for those who use it day in and day out.
In contrast to the usual 16:10 aspect ratio that has swarmed the field in recent years, OPPO decided to go with 7:5 instead, resulting in a nearly 10% increase in viewing area.
They have also tuned the OS to keep the aspect ratio fixed in full-screen apps and split-screen layouts for a consistent experience.
The 11.61-inch panel runs at 2800 x 2000 resolution with a 144Hz refresh rate which will be almost the same as most 1080p monitors out there.
Color accuracy-wise, it reaches Delta E<2 which is the gold standard with 1.07 billion colors for a more vivid view.
The display is further augmented with Dolby Vision HDR while the audio department has Dolby Atmos for accurate contrast ratios and spatial sounds.
As for the processing part, it runs the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC alongside 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage – pretty good for a balanced config.

You can also do some other “fancy” things like Screen Mirroring and seamless video switching from phone to tablet and vice versa.
And yes, everything is encased in this 6.54mm thin and 552g light chassis made with durable metal unibody and curved middle frame.
OPPO also released the new Smart TouchPad Keyboard for the tablet and you can also follow up with the OPPO Pencil for some flexible handwriting input.

You can grab the OPPO Pad 2 at the price of $799 right now while the Smart Touchpad Keyboard and Pencil are at $139 and $119 respectively.
A free Smart Case will be bundled alongside every Pad 2 purchase (or at $59 if bought separately).
