AGON by AOC has brought in the latest gaming monitor, the AGON PRO AG276QZD for those who want both the looks and performance.
This new monitor carries a 26.5-inch panel which is just a little bit smaller than your usual 27-inch offerings but it is the real deal here, sporting 240Hz of refresh rate and 0.01ms response time satisfying the needs of the competitive esports scene.
Its 16:9 aspect ratio portraying 1440pr resolution is just the sweet spot for gaming in general with 1000 nits peak brightness lending the power to get its HDR10 certification. With 100% sRGB and 98.5% DCI-P3 color gamut, this OLED monitor offers a lot on the practical side.
Speaking of practicality, it has a rather “cheating” feature called the Sniper Scope which magnifies the center of the screen either in 1.5x or 2x magnifications (Not sure if this is even allowed in the competitive scene?).
There’s also the newly improved Dynamic Dial Point that adjusts the colors of in-game crosshairs to better contrast against the surrounding colors for better and more accurate aiming. Yup, definitely not cheating here.
As for I/O, it can take HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4 as well listing in NVIDIA’s G-SYNC Compatible table of supported monitors.
To reduce the overall stress delivered to gamers over long periods of time, the UL Low Blue Light and UL Flicker Free certifications will do just that.
