Following the release of the smartphones and smartwatches, Samsung wraps up with the announcement of the Galaxy Tab S9 series tablets.
Not many changes can be seen from the exterior as the design are practically carbon copies of the last generation but the good news is all models will use AMOLED panels in contrast to the base model Tab S8 only got IPS LCD last year.
So yes, everyone will be getting those vibrant colors no matter what and what dictates one’s choice is gonna go down to power requirements playing a major role here.
The same tiering follows with the base Tab S9, enlarged Tab S9+, and the premium Tab S9 Ultra.
Aside from the greyish-black Graphite, a new Beige color enters the fray for more selection down the line.
I think more enhancements have been delivered to the S Pen instead. For starters, it can be charged regardless of orientation now (you need to place and face it in one specific direction last time) therefore I appreciate the “anti-dumb” design here.
Second, aside from the basic S Pen, there’s the S Pen Creator Edition that features swappable tips for different pressure points and thickness – a gospel for digital artists. The overall grip is also better due to the softer material being used.
Durability-wise, the usual Armor Aluminum and IP68 rating stays.
Oh and one more thing, all models will come preloaded with LumaFusion and Clip Studio Paint for aspiring illustrators while CAD engineers will find ArcSite helping their workflow instead.
