ROG Singapore has officially brought in the long-awaited ROG Phone 7 series to give mobile gamers of new and old the best mobile gaming experience in the market.
The best gaming smartphones out there in 2023 are none other than this pair – the ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate. The differences between them are quite minimal so let’s just talk about the points they shared.
One of the more obvious ways to detect improvements is through the now twin front-firing speakers at 50% louder and carrying 77% stronger bass. One can connect a 3.5mm headphone through the physical jack to experience Dirac Virtuo for Headphone’s spatial audio feature to better track enemies around you.
Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, the average performance is now even better not only because of higher clock speeds but thanks to the GameCool 7 cooling system utilizing Boron Nitride for short processing burst, vapor chamber for mid-term, and graphite sheets handling long gaming periods.
As for the signature AirTrigger virtual button, it now supports 10+ more types of motion controls aside from the usual Dual Action, Press and Lift, and Gyroscope Aiming with X-Axis motor linear motor providing superior feedback.
The newly-added X Sense function can highlight certain key items or events to notify players while X Capture does the “Play of the Game” thingy that clips highlights out of your amazing (or flops) plays.
As for what the Ultimate model has over the base model doesn’t, then the AeroActive Portal opens up an air inlet when the AeroActive Cooler is attached is the key point here, allowing extra airflow and reducing temperatures by up to 20%.
Additionally, there’s the ROG Vision 2-inch OLED screen that can be configured to play animations for that extra bit of customization and styling.
But the rest are the same – exquisite screens, big memory capacities, large batteries, etc.
