AMD has announced its latest endeavor in trying to make Ryzen AI better with the help of Windows maker Microsoft.
Revealed at CES 2023, the Ryzen 7040 series processors with Ryzen AI is one of the more special SKUs that combines the traditional x86 architecture with a bit of AI acceleration secret sauce.
The little addition has proven to offer increased performance, improved power efficiency, and certain experiences not available in other competing products even in 2023.
Thus, AMD is providing early access to Ryzen AI to Windows developers which will allow AI researchers and developers to run AI workloads using an open-source framework called Vitis AI Execution Provider that is upstreamed in ONNX Runtime with support for Microsoft Olive.
With this, superior CPU support for seamless integration and enabling the boost for AMD XDNA AI Engine acceleration.
