AMD has revealed another new series of GPUs but not for the likes of you and me but rather the professionals. Let’s welcome the Radeon PRO W7000 series.
Two models will be making their debut which are the Radeon PRO W7900 and Radeon PRO W7800. Featuring Team Red’s chiplet design that provides up to 1.5x faster geomean performance, both of them contain higher performance-per-buck for creative applications and experts. One of the key additions is brand new AI instructions alongside increased throughput that delivers 2x more performance thanks to the RDNA 3 architecture.
They also have DisplayPort 2.1 support to let you hook in the latest and greatest displays of this year and beyond as futureproofing is just as important for industrial use. Certified applications are already supporting these cards and you can find the list here.
Price and Availability
The AMD Radeon PRO W7000 series will become available sometime in Q2 2023 with a price tag of USD3,999 for the W7900 and USD2,499 for the W7800. They will also appear as optional selections in selected OEM and SI systems down the road as well.
