It’s time to beat the heat with an avalanche of RTX games to cool you down this summer. LEGO Builder’s Journey launches on June 22 with DLSS and a ton of ray tracing. June 29 is the day DOOM Eternal gets an update including DLSS and ray tracing. And today we are announcing that Rust is the latest game to announce the addition of DLSS, and it arrives on July 1.
The ‘Summer of RTX’ is Heating Up!
It’s summertime, and gaming is sizzling hot. NVIDIA’s next-gen game technologies make it even better with stunning ray-traced image quality, performance boosting NVIDIA DLSS, and latency reducing NVIDIA Reflex.
Here are all the RTX games that GeForce Gamers can look forward to:
June has been a busy month for RTX. Necromunda: Hired Gun launched at the beginning of the month with DLSS. No Man’s Sky got DLSS on June 3. The Persistence got a ray tracing and DLSS patch on June 11. Rainbow Six Siege launched on June 14 with DLSS. And Chernobylite has added DLSS in its latest Early Access update, ahead of the game’s official July 28 launch.
Available Now: Unreal Engine 5 DLSS Plugin
Back in 2018, NVIDIA and Epic began the era of real-time videogame ray tracing with the launch of the Unreal Engine 4-powered Reflections demo. Today, ray tracing, NVIDIA DLSS, and other NVIDIA technologies are incorporated directly into Unreal Engine 4, helping developers quickly and easily enhance their games with immersive effects, and boost performance with less than a day’s work.
Epic is now readying Unreal Engine 5, which launched into Early Access last month. NVIDIA’s technologies, SDKs, and other time savers are being brought over, and now developers can easily add DLSS to their projects with the release of NVIDIA DLSS Plugin support for Unreal Engine 5 — available from the Unreal Engine marketplace.
June 22: LEGO Builder’s Journey Launches with DLSS and a Ton of Ray Tracing tomorrow
LEGO Builder’s Journey is an atmospheric puzzle game which started out as a widely-loved mobile platform game on Apple Arcade. At Computex we announced it would be launching in an expanded and refined form on the PC, utilising ray tracing and DLSS to render the most realistic LEGO bricks seen in a game to date.
On June 22, LEGO Builder’s Journey comes to life on PC enhanced by ray-traced Ambient Occlusion, Global Illumination, Reflections, and Shadows, and with performance-accelerating NVIDIA DLSS. LEGO Builder’s Journey is the world’s first Unity game with ray tracing.
June 22: Linux gamers get DLSS for Vulkan-based games on Proton
NVIDIA DLSS support for Vulkan games will be available on June 22 on Proton, enabling Linux gamers to use the dedicated AI Tensor Cores of their GeForce RTX GPUs to accelerate frame rates in DOOM Eternal, No Man’s Sky, and Wolfenstein: Youngblood. Support for DLSS-enhanced DirectX titles running via Proton will arrive this Fall.
June 29: DOOM Eternal Gets an Image Quality Upgrade with Ray Tracing and a Performance Upgrade via DLSS
DLSS and ray-traced reflections are coming to DOOM Eternal on June 29.
DOOM is another huge game franchise, and DOOM Eternal is another Triple-A game that has turned to NVIDIA-pioneered gaming technologies to take their performance and image quality to new heights.
July 1: Rust Gets a Performance Upgrade via DLSS
Facepunch Studios is bringing NVIDIA DLSS to Rust on July 1, accelerating performance for GeForce RTX players. This follows the addition of NVIDIA Reflex in May, which reduced system latency by up to 38%, making gameplay more responsive, and players more competitive. With both NVIDIA DLSS and NVIDIA Reflex, GeForce RTX players will receive the definitive Rust experience, with the fastest level of performance, and most responsive gameplay possible.
We will have many more RTX games to come, including Red Dead Redemption 2!
