Singapore, June 22, 2021 — ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced the ROG Strix XG43UQ Xbox® Edition gaming monitor. This 43-inch gaming monitor is the culmination of efforts from the ROG and Xbox R&D teams and is designed to push the limits of next-generation gaming.
ROG continuously sets new industry standards with innovative hardcore gaming gear to empower gamers and enthusiasts everywhere. ROG gaming monitors have consistently been industry frontrunners, as recently demonstrated with the introduction of mini LED technology for HDR gaming, as well as 360 Hz displays for eSports pros.
“On the Designed for Xbox team we’re always striving to enhance the gaming experience for our fans. We’re excited to announce our partnership with ASUS Republic of Gamers to deliver new gaming monitors that let players take full advantage of the speed, performance and technology of the Xbox Series X|S.” said Matt Kesselring, Director of Xbox Hardware Partnerships.
Designed for Xbox
The massive 43-inch Strix XG43UQ Xbox Edition enables native 4K (3840×2160) gaming without chroma subsampling on Xbox Series X via HDMI® 2.1, and supports up to 120 Hz for Xbox Series X|S®, as well as 4K 144 Hz visuals via DisplayPort™ 1.4 when playing on PC. It includes a built-in Xbox mode to deliver the very best color, contrast, and hue settings when paired with Xbox Series X|S. For HDR gaming, the ROG Strix XG43UQ Xbox Edition includes a HDR Gaming Interest Group (HGiG) profile to deliver amazing HDR gaming exactly as the developers intended.
Bright visuals and low input lag
The ROG Strix XG43UQ Xbox Edition is DisplayHDR™ 1000‑certified and has a maximum brightness of 1000 nits — more than three times that of OLED TVs. There’s also an Auto-Low-Latency mode to reduce input lag to less than half that of standard 4K TVs. In addition, anti-glare technology provides better viewing experiences when watching movies or playing games, especially in bright environments.
Compatible with Xbox and PC gaming
The ROG Strix XG43UQ Xbox Edition includes AMD FreeSync™ Premium technology to deliver supersmooth visuals at up to 144 frames per second when playing on PC. That superfast frame rate is complemented by Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync (ELMB Sync) technology that enables ELMB and variable-refresh-rate technologies to work simultaneously to eliminate ghosting and screen tearing for super-sharp high-frame-rate visuals.
In addition, the ROG Strix XG43UQ Xbox Edition includes an array of connectivity options such as USB 3.0, HDMI 2.1 and 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, audio line-in, and an earphone jack. It also has a bundled remote control to enable users to easily adjust display settings.
