22 January 2021, SINGAPORE – Following MediaTek’s launch of its new Dimensity 1200 flagship 5G smartphone chip, realme, the world’s fastest-growing smartphone brand, announced it would be among the first to release a flagship smartphone equipped with the new chip as part of its plan to grow its dual flagship portfolio.
Leveraging the comprehensive improvements seen in Dimensity 1200 particularly in the areas of 5G, AI, photography, video and games, the realme flagship smartphone will deliver a superior all-rounded 5G experience.

MediaTek created the Dimensity 1200 flagship 5G mobile chip using a 6nm advanced production process, making the chip more powerful in performance and lower in power consumption. This is set to allow for a seamless 5G experience for users anytime, anywhere. At the same time, Dimensity 1200 also achieved a breakthrough in the field of AI for multimedia in the areas of imaging and gaming, creating more possibilities for realme’s new flagship smartphone.
realme X7 Pro “Iridescent”
realme has previously launched several phone models equipped with the Dimensity series chip and has a wealth of experience in chip optimisation and adaptation. The realme X7 Pro was equipped with the powerful flagship Dimensity 1000+ chip. With its trendy design, high-quality screen and 65W flash charging, the phone became an all-rounded flagship smartphone enthusiastically pursued by young users.
realme 7 5G “Baltic Blue”
realme has also been working closely with MediaTek to launch several 5G phone models. realme was the first brand to launch 5G smartphones equipped with Dimensity 800U. This was seen in November 2020 with the launch of the realme 7 5G powered by Dimensity 800U in several markets and in Singapore on 21 January 2021.
