The latest GeForce Game Ready driver delivers day-one optimizations and enhancements for the Minecraft with RTX beta that starts today. It enables DLSS 2.0 in the Minecraft with RTX beta and is required to use that feature.
This driver also offers the best experience in Saints Row: The Third Remastered, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, and SnowRunner. Support for three new G-SYNC Compatible gaming monitors has also been added.
Minecraft Gets Ray Tracing, DLSS 2.0 and More Realistic Textures
NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Mojang Studios announced that Minecraft with RTX is being released on Windows 10 Edition as a beta on April 16 at 10 AM PT. Minecraft with RTX features an advanced form of ray tracing called path tracing, new physically-based materials, and NVIDIA DLSS 2.0. These technologies combine to deliver a stunning new level of graphical quality in Minecraft, the world’s best-selling video game. NVIDIA will also be making 6 new Minecraft with RTX worlds available in the Minecraft Marketplace for gamers to enjoy for free, along with guides for creators to build their own new RTX worlds.
This announcement illustrates the continued momentum that ray tracing is building in the gaming ecosystem. The fact that Minecraft is getting ray tracing illustrates that ray tracing is mainstream. Minecraft will expose ray tracing to millions of gamers of all ages and backgrounds.
You only get one chance to make a first impression, and games are no exception. NVIDIA works hard to make every game’s first impression a good one, even if the game is still in development. Game Ready drivers aim to support all major milestones for games meaning we’re always working to bring you the best experience every time you play. As titles continue to evolve with new content and features through patches and DLC, so will our drivers.
Three New G-SYNC Compatible Displays
The G-SYNC Compatible program expands the G-SYNC ecosystem and aims to bring consistency and educate consumers on which displays will provide a good entry level variable refresh rate (VRR) experience.
The newly validated monitors are the Acer XB273GP, Acer XB323U, and ASUS V27B, giving gamers even more choice when searching for a great gaming display.
Under the G-SYNC Compatible program, NVIDIA works with monitor OEMs to validate the experience on monitors that support the AdaptiveSync protocol. Those that pass are designated as “G-SYNC Compatible”. For a full listing of G-SYNC Compatible displays, please click here.
