Razer today announced a brand new generation of the Razer Blade.
The new Razer Blade is the world’s smallest 15.6-inch gaming laptop with stunningly thin bezels. It has a footprint that’s only slightly larger than its 14-inch predecessor and is in fact slightly smaller in volume and thinner in size.
Despite that, the new Razer Blade still packs in ultrapowerful components – the latest 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processors, NVIDIA GTX 1060 or 1070 graphics, a larger battery, and up to 2TB of SSD storage. These factors combine to deliver over 40% higher gaming performance and over 50% better CPU performance in the new Blade.
Razer’s engineers utilized a bespoke full vapor chamber cooling solution that is thinner and more efficient than traditional heat pipes used by others. The vapor chamber is a vacuum sealed metal plate filled with deionized water that turns to vapor when in use, allowing the heat to be quickly pulled from the components and efficiently moved through the system and exhausted by dual fans.
Introducing the new Razer Core X
Razer also launched a new generation of its external GPU today, bring powerhouse gaming graphics to supported ultrabooks.
The new Razer Core X is a Thunderbolt™ 3 external graphics enclosure for gaming-grade performance at a new value price.
It transforms integrated graphics laptops like the Razer Blade Stealth into desktop-class gaming machines by adding an external graphics card. Gamers can also future-proof their gaming laptops or unlock VR-Ready experiences by boosting the performance beyond the current laptop’s limits.
Last but not least, Razer also announced the new Chroma Laptop Stand, which features a light strip up front and a 3-port USB hub in the back. The stand looks great with any existing Blade laptops, or frankly any laptops at all.
