Microsoft Surface Family Unveiled in Singapore

SINGAPORE, 6 MARCH 2018 — Microsoft today unveiled its entire Surface line-up for Singapore to empower users to achieve more with the ultimate Windows devices.

New devices include Surface Book 2, Surface Laptop and Surface Studio, which will join Surface Pro to complete the Surface family of devices available in Singapore. Surface Book 2 and Surface Studio are now available for pre-order on the Microsoft Store as well as at authorised retailers including Best Denki, Challenger, Courts, LOL by Epicentre, Harvey Norman, and Newstead, both online and in-store.

In addition, the line-up will be available for commercial customers via Authorised Device Resellers including AsiaPac Distribution Pte Ltd, JK Technology Pte Ltd, and UIC Asian Computer Services Pte Ltd.

The Surface line-up rounds up a strong portfolio of Microsoft devices that will allow users to unleash their creativity through the new Windows 10 Fall Creators Update features, and empower every individual to be productive on their own terms.

Removing the barrier between a conventional desktop and laptop, Surface Book 2 features the latest 8th generation Intel® Core™ processors and the best graphics performance yet with the latest NVIDIA GeForce GPUs. Starting from S$2,188, Surface Book 2 is up to five times more powerful than the original.

For those seeking flexibility in the way they use their device, Surface Book 2 supports four different modes, including Studio Mode, Laptop Mode, View Mode, or even Tablet Mode by simply detaching the screen.

Surface Book 2 will be available in 13.5” or 15” options, and boasts an impressive 17-hour battery life for marathon productivity sessions. From running software such as Adobe Creative Cloud and Autodesk, to playing great games such as Forza Motorsport 7 or Gears of War at 1080p, 60fps, it is more than prepared to support users’ workload for work or for play.

Surface Laptop elevates design and performance in a sleek, elegant clamshell device. More than a traditional laptop, Surface Laptop is priced from S$1,488, and is engineered to start fast and stay fast with a 7th generation Intel® Core™ processor and up to 14.5 hours of battery life to last through the day. At just 1.25 kilograms and less than 14.5mm thin, Surface Laptop fits nicely into your favourite bag, and is lightweight for users to bring around.

In addition, Surface Laptop features a signature keyboard covered in luxurious Alcantara® material, along with a quiet and responsive keyset, large precision trackpad, and soft palm rest for a new level of typing comfort.

Shipping with Windows 10 S, a new Windows experience streamlined for security and superior performance, Surface Laptop starts up and runs faster with InstantOn and an OS optimised for sustained performance.

Surface Studio is an entirely new device designed for the creative process. Its roomy and adjustable 28” PixelSense Display coupled with the innovative Zero Gravity Hinge provides a huge canvas for all kinds of work. Position it upright to sketch, paint, and edit photos, or lay it flat to draw on it like a drafting table. Pair it with the Surface Dial for both on-screen and off-screen experiences that enable you to interact with applications in natural ways that deliver a fluid creative process. Surface Studio will be available at S$6,488.

Designed for exceptional accuracy, comfort, and control, the new Surface Precision Mouse helps you stay in your flow with flawless scrolling, three customisable thumb buttons, and the ability to use with up to three computers at the same time.

Surface Dial offers a completely new way to interact with technology and create in the most natural, immersive way. This controller allows you to store, customise, access, navigate, and reimagine physical tools in the digital world – from concept to creation. Haptic feedback from the Surface Dial provides helpful vibrations to help users be in touch with their work.
