TP-Link Launches new Neffos X smartphones in Singapore
TP-Link Singapore has just announced the launch of the new Neffos X1 and Neffos X1 Max smartphones for the local market. The entrance of these two new smartphones has brought in new choices in the under 350SGD category for consumers.
The Neffos X1 is a 5 inch model and has a battery capacity of 2250mAh. The Neffos X1 Max on the other hand is a 5.5 inch model with a battery capacity of 3000mAh. Other specifications of the phone largely remains the same.
Despite the fact that these two smartphones are in a rather affordable price range, TP-Link did not scrimp on the hardware. Both smartphones feature the MediaTek Helios P10 processor. The P10 is in fact used in many of the mainstream phones in the market right now, such as the Sony Xperia XA and Oppo R9. This 2 year old processor provides adequate performance for daily smartphone activities and is extremely energy efficient. This means that the Neffos X1 and Neffos X1 Max are going to have very good battery life and will not run too hot.
The TP-Link Neffos X1 and Neffos X1 Max should also excel in photography as they feature a Sony IMX258 imaging sensor. For comparison, this sensor is also used in the original OnePlus X, the Xiaomi Redmi Pro and Sony Xperia XA. Other smartphones available locally in the same category right now simply could not beat the value of the Neffos X1 series in terms of its photography specifications.

Being a 5 incher, the Neffos X1 feels great in the hand. The grip on the phone was quite comfortable as the sides are curved. Additionally, the phone has got a large screen-to-body ratio. The side bezels are kept to a minimal, making the whole design of the phone extra sleek. The smartphone is also equipped with a 5 megapixel front facing camera.
Luckily, TP-Link did not include any gimmicks on the Neffos X1. It still features a 3.5mm audio jack, as well as a MicroUSB port. Specifically on the Neffos X1 Max, quick charging is supported and the phone can be charged to 50% of its battery capacity in just 30 minutes.
The Neffos X1 series also spots a rear fingerprint sensor. |
The fingerprint ID locking system is said to be capable of authenticating users in 0.2 seconds. Moreover, the system also learns and improves the accuracy of fingerprint unlocking over time with more unlocks.
The standard volume and power buttons are found on the top right side of the phone for easy reach. |
