“Over the last eleven
years we have seen the shift in societal expectations, constant redefinition of
laws and regulations and the geo-political climate. We have also seen how
companies honored as the World’s Most Ethical respond to these challenges. They
invest in their local communities around the world, embrace strategies of
diversity and inclusion, and focus on long term-ism as a sustainable business
advantage”, said Ethisphere’s Chief Executive Officer,
Timothy Erblich. “Congratulations to everyone at Schneider

Globally Committed to
Responsibility & Ethics
Responsibility & Ethics
At Schneider Electric,
ethics and governance are key drivers of growth and of competitiveness. They
are managed through Our
Principles of Responsibility, a set of guidelines
designed to provide the Group’s employees with a framework for responsible
behaviour. This document was formulated in line with thecompany’s
principles of governance, the 10 principles of the Global
Compact, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and
international labour standards. Our Principles of Responsibility has been
translated into 30 languages and sent to all Group employees. The
“Responsibility & Ethics Dynamics” program also helps Schneider Electric
employees to manage any ethical issues that may arise. The programme is
regularly communicated and audited internally, and since the beginning of 2015,
it is serving as an indicator of ethical performance in the Planet
& Society Barometer, the company’s sustainability
scorecard. At the end of 2016, this indicator was well above target with 93
percent of Schneider Electric’s entities having passed the assessment. The
objective is to reach 100 percent by the end of 2017.
