Travel light with the new PowerShot SX620 HS with long zoom capabilities

SINGAPORE, 11 May 2016 – Canon
today introduced the PowerShot SX620 HS, a portable long zoom compact camera
with connectivity features for enhanced versatility to capture the surprises
and moments in daily life. With a 25x zoom lens and improved focal range of 25
– 625mm, the PowerShot SX620 HS has an increased reach of up to 40% and is also
more compact and lighter than its predecessor.

compact camera is primed to excel with its improved lens function, which allows

With
Canon’s ZoomPlus technology, the powerful 25x zoom lens packed within the
PowerShot SX620 HS’s tiny frame, is able to double the full optical zoom range
achieving up to 50x zoom. With the advanced lens technology, the camera enables
users to capture wide shots, making the PowerShot SX620 HS ideal for use in
enclosed environments or group shots, as well as long shots of distant subjects
or close-ups of fine details.

Equipped
with the DIGIC 4+ image processor, coupled with the zoom lens, PowerShot SX620
HS captures quality high-resolution 20.2 megapixel images in rich colours with
sharp details. The PowerShot SX620 HS is also capable of shooting movies at
Full HD resolution, with a smooth frame rate of 29.97 fps.

Ultra-compact
with a weight of a mere 182g, the PowerShot SX620 HS is able to fit into small
pockets and bags, which is an added convenience for users to bring around. In
order to suit the user’s lifestyle and preference, the PowerShot SX620 HS is
also available in red, black and white.

With the incorporation of a new Wi-Fi button on the
PowerShot SX620 HS, it is now easier to transfer photos and videos from camera
to computer or upload them on social media platforms. With a single push of the
Wi-Fi button, the camera will immediately be connected to the user’s preferred
device. This button can be activated in any mode, from shooting mode to
playback mode, and even when the camera is switched off. Alternatively, users
can connect to NFC-enabled devices such as smartphones simply by tapping the
two devices together.
