(23 May 2016) —  ASUS will be holding its inaugural Republic of
Gamers (ROG) gaming tournament, the ROG Champions Cup, which will take place at
the Consumer Electronics Exhibition Show (CEE) from 26 to 29 May 2016. Through
its first tournament done in conjunction with Challenger Singapore and with
more than $20,000 worth of prizes up for grabs, ASUS hopes to attract a wide
spectrum of gamers, from PC core gamers, avid gamers to console gamers over the
four days at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre.

grand lucky draw prizes and League of Legends prizes were supported by
Logitech, worth up to $20,000 of Logitech products with the highest value prize
of their exclusive mechanical keyboard set worth $886. MyRepublic
is the official Fibre Broadband Partner for the ROG Champions Cup at CEE 2016,
powering all the devices with blazing fast wireless. The official energy drink partner
Redbull will be providing refreshements to all event visitors at the ROG
Champions Cup 2016.

 

The
ASUS Republic of Gamers brand (ROG) was formed for the sole purpose of
delivering the most innovative hardcore hardware for truly dedicated gamers.
Since then, the ROG team has been constantly pushing the PC gaming boundaries
to become legendary among enthusiasts for its performance. With its inaugural
gaming tournament in Singapore, ASUS would like to bring all gamers together in
one event.

Hosted by Garena, registration for the ROG Champions
Cup started on 28 April. Online qualifiers were held
on 7 May 2016, and quarter finals on 14 May. Finalists will battle it out at
the CEE Show from 26 – 29 May at Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition
Centre, with the top 4 teams walking away with a total cash pool of $10,000 and
more than $15,000 worth of ROG, Logitech and Steelseries products. The top team
will also be crowned as the inaugural team to win the first ROG Tournament Cup
held by the Taiwanese consumer electronic company in Singapore.

Founded
in 2005, “Asterisk*” symbolises the meeting of different personalities and minds,
while coming together to deliver a stellar performance. Since it started, this
female e-Sports team has been featured by leading e-Sports publications, and has
been an active member in local and regional gaming tournaments and conventions.
This time, the team will be issuing an invitation to its fans to compete
against them at CEE Show 2016. Win or lose, the participating team will walk
away with a small gift!

Apart
from the tournament, ASUS, together with sponsor partners like Logitech and
NVIDIA® will be hosting a variety of activities which elevate gaming
experiences through the use of Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset and the
Logitech G29 Driving Force Race Wheel. Join us at the Logitech G’s experiential
area this CEE Show 2016, and stand a chance to live your dream of being a race

Event
visitors can also catch their favourite League of Legends cosplayers at the CEE
Show 2016. Photo opportunities will be available with the popular characters of
Annie, Ahri, Miss Fortune and many more.

the 4 days of CEE 2016 from 26 – 29 May 2016, event visitors at the ROG
Champions Cup gaming tournament could walk away with attractive prizes in daily
stage game activities and lucky draw. Various stage games will be held daily
for all participants to win more than $11,000 worth of prizes sponsored by ASUS
Republic of Gamers (ROG), Challenger Singapore, Logitech and Steelseries.
Furthermore, one lucky winner will walk away with the latest 15-inch ROG gaming
notebook GL502 (worth $2,498) at the grand lucky draw!

from 26-29 May 2016 at CEE Show 2016, all event visitors can try their hand at
the sure-win lucky dip held at Suntec Convention & Exhibition Centre Hall 4.
