Mobile World Congress is making her stop at Shanghai. With an increase of Asia tech innovators and manufacturers at this event, we can also expect many tech surprises from this side of the planet. India based smartphone manufacturer Intext officially launched the world’s first Sailfish OS 2.0 Operating System smartphone.
This New Delhi based company did not scrimp on the hardware. They included a Snapdragon 600 CPU with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage space. Additionally, it has a microSD card slot that allows users to expand their storage up to 32GB. As for its camera, the new smartphone has a 8MP rear and 2MP front facing camera. It supports 4G LTE, and comes with a 2300mAh battery. This product is slated to officially available on the market in September this year. Sadly, it will only be available in India then. It is said to be sold at a price of 15000 rupees, which is about 322SGD.
Sailfish OS 2.0 brings in a totally new user experience from Google’s Android and Apple’s iOS. many features and user interactions has been improved. Jolla plans to roll out the update to their users within these 2 months. Jolla’s successful tablet Kickstarter project will also be equipped with Sailfish 2.0 system.
