Google announced its plans for the new generation of smart wearable devices, Android Wear. As the Android platform is extended to wearable devices, Google hopes to provide a new user experience in smaller powerful tools.
With a platform specifically designed for wearables, users can expect new functions that add convenience and fun. By saying the OK Google command, users can ask questions and receive intelligent answers. Other than time and date, important information is also displayed on the smart watch. Like the upcoming Apple gadget iWatch, there will also be sensors like Heart rate monitor and accelerometer to help in health and fitness.
Later this year, google is expected to release more Android Wear Software Development Kit (SDK) to allow more customisability. Google is opening the API to developers for application developers.
