Seventeen ASUS Products Win 2014 CES Innovations Awards

Las
Vegas, USA, 6th January, 2014 — ASUS today is proud to announce that 17 of its products have received
the prestigious 2014 CES Innovations Award, with wins covering a wide range of
innovative designs and technologies across six award categories: Computer
Hardware & Components, Computer Peripherals, Gaming Hardware & Peripherals, Home Networking, Portable Media
Players & Accessories, and Software & Mobile Apps. This impressive award
tally is clear recognition of ASUS’s people-centric, innovative design-driven
approach to its products and services. On top of that, the ASUS Transformer Book Trio received the 2014 CES Best of
Innovations Award – an accolade reserved for the highest rated product in its
category.

The annual CES Innovations Design and
Engineering Awards, held in conjunction with the Consumer Electronics Show in
Las Vegas, recognise outstanding engineering and design in the field of
consumer electronics, with products judged by a preeminent panel of independent
industrial designers, engineers and trade journalists.

The ASUS Transformer Book Trio received one
of the top accolades at this year’s awards, taking home the CES Best of
Innovations Award for the Computer Hardware & Components category. The ASUS Transformer Book Trio is a dual-OS
ultraportable that can be used as a Windows 8 / Android notebook, an 11.6-inch
Android tablet, or as a Windows 8 desktop PC by simply connecting the PC
Station dock to an external monitor.

ASUS products took home a total of 17
awards* this year across six award categories, surpassing last year’s tally of
15. The ASUS Zenbook Ultrabook took
honors in this year’s Computer Hardware & Components category thanks to its
sleek lines that house a powerful Intel® Core™ processor, fast SSD
storage and a 2560 x 1440 WQHD capacitive multi-touch 13.3-inch display.

In the Computer Peripherals category, the ASUS MB168 Series Portable USB-powered
Monitor wowed judges with its slim, lightweight design and the ability to
receive power and video signals supplied over a standard USB 3.0 cable.

Judges were also impressed with the Miracast
Dongle, an entry under the Portable Media Players & Accessories category.
At roughly the same size as a standard highlighter pen, ASUS Miracast Dongle
provides dual-band wireless streaming for lag-free transmission of Full HD
movies, videos, and photos from mobile devices onto a HDTV or monitor.

It

and Android at the press of a button, Transformer
Book Trio offers unmatched three-in-one flexibility for work or play. It
is powered by an Intel®

can also be used as a Windows 8 desktop PC with an external monitor.

The ASUS N550 notebook features SonicMaster
Premium technology and the first-ever quad-speaker array on a notebook.

powerful 4th generation Intel® Core™ processors, NVIDIA®
GeForce® gaming-grade  graphics,

ASUS Transformer Book T100 is a
10.1-inch ultraportable laptop with an Intel® Atom™ quad-core
processor and a detachable 1366 x 768 IPS display that can be used as a
standalone Windows 8.1 tablet. With USB 3.0, 11 hours of battery life, and
Office Home & Student 2013 pre-installed, it is a productive tool for
all-day computing.

The finely-crafted ASUS Zenbook houses a powerful Intel® Core™ processor,
fast SSD storage and a capacitive multi-touch 13.3-inch display with up to 2560
x 1440 WQHD resolution in an ultra-light aluminum case that tapers to a mere
3mm. The Zenbook delivers a
luxurious feel, courtesy of a unique ‘spun metal’ finish that is a result of a
meticulous 32-step manufacturing process. The latest iteration, UX301/302, takes things
further with a sleek layer of tough Corning® Gorilla®
Glass 3.

The ASUS ROG Poseidon GTX 770 graphics card is based on the 28nm
NVIDIA® GTX 770 GPU, with 1536 CUDA cores and 2GB of GDDR5 memory.
ASUS-exclusive features add value and capabilities to this already-powerful
card. They include a redesigned DirectCU H2O cooling technology with both
water and air thermal management systems that deliver 20% cooler and three
times quieter performance than reference. In addition, this redesigned water
cooling system results in 16°C cooler operating temperatures than reference 770
model boards. DIGI+ VRM and Super Alloy Power ensure heightened stability and
durability, while GPU Tweak offers user-friendly tuning and live streaming to allow other gamers
watch the game currently being played.

ET2321 AiO PC features a slim, stylish design that houses a powerful yet energy-efficient 4th generation Intel® Core™ processor with NVIDIA GeForce GT
740M and Intel® Iris™ graphics, as
well as a 23-inch 10-point multi-touch LED backlit IPS display that offers brilliant
colors and wide viewing angles with 1920 x 1080 Full
HD resolution. It also features built-in
stereo speakers along with a desktop subwoofer, plus ASUS SonicMaster Premium
technology for outstanding audio.

Designed for gaming enthusiasts, the ASUS ROG
G750 gaming notebook boasts
4th generation Intel® Core™ i7 processors and NVIDIA®
GeForce® GTX 700M series GPUs, plus the latest connectivity
standards. Improved audio output comes from the inclusion of ASUS SonicMaster
technology with the ASUS ROG AudioWizard sound tuning utility, which
was especially designed for ROG gaming notebooks. Responsive and durable
backlit keys and isolated arrow keys provide excellent control; while a
powerful rear-venting dual exhaust system keeps hot air and the resulting fan
noise away from gamers.

The ASUS
P2B Battery-Powered Portable LED Projector is a compact projector which
features its own built-in notebook-quality battery. It features a 350 lumen LED
light source and a best-in-class short throw lens that projects 42-inch HD 1280
x 800 resolution visuals at just one meter from the screen. VGA and HDMI video inputs give
maximum flexibility for projection sources, while the MHL (Mobile
High-Definition Link) input also charges connected MHL enabled smartphones and
tablets when projecting. The P2B
also features a microSD card slot and a USB port for PC-free projection.

The S1
projector is an ultra-portable projector that measures no larger than two business cards put
together. It features a compact rechargeable battery that provides up to 3
hours of projection time; it can also be used as a power bank for mobile device
charging. The S1 has a 1.1:1
short-throw lens that projects images with a diagonal of 42-inches just one
meter away from the projection surface. The S1 has an aluminum chassis that features a sleek concentric-circle finish, and features
built-in HDMI/MHL, a USB port (for charging), and an ASUS SonicMaster-enhanced speaker.

The ASUS
MB168 Series is a 15.6-inch companion display for laptops and desktop PCs;
with both power and video signals supplied over a standard USB 3.0 cable. The MB168’s slim 8mm profile and 800g
weight makes it the world’s slimmest and lightest companion display and
features a Zen-inspired spun metal finish. ASUS
MB168 Series senses its orientation and switches the display between
landscape and portrait automatically. It comes with a protective ASUS Smart
Case that doubles as a two-way adjustable stand.

ASUS VivoMouse is an innovative
combination of traditional mouse and a wireless handheld remote for more casual
PC control. VivoMouse can be used as a standard optical mouse that fits
comfortably in the hand, but its top surface also incorporates a large circular
touchpad with full support for Windows 8.1 / Windows 8 multi-touch gestures — making it ideal for Windows
8.1 / Windows 8 PCs that
lack a multi-touch display. A wireless connection also makes VivoMouse
ideal for one-handed control, making it the perfect peripheral for a living

The ASUS-exclusive NFC Express brings Near Field
Communication (NFC) to PC DIY market and allows for instant device pairing and PC control with a
simple tap of their NFC-enabled device. It allows for password-free Windows 8
login, so users can go directly into the operating system. The Photo Express
feature automatically backs up photos and videos in Android mobile devices on
the desktop. It can also detect and only backup files added since last sync.
Quick Launch saves shortcuts to favorite apps, which can then be started with
the ease of a single tap. NFC Express also lets users remotely control their
desktop with their NFC-enabled devices; while two additional USB 3.0 ports provided
added connectivity options.

The SBW-S1
Blu-ray Surround Station audio system for notebooks delivers 7.1-channel surround and virtual
surround sound for truly immersive cinematic audio. With 114dB SNR Audio
Clarity, it provides sound that is 16 times clearer than normal onboard audio
solutions. The SBW-S1 also comes with a built-in 600ohm headphone amplifier as
well.

The dual-band
RT-AC87U is a 4 x 4 wireless-AC router with a web-based user interface provides quick
and easy set-up, as well as management of parameters like guest networks,
parental controls, and traffic monitoring. Excusive ASUS AiRadar improves Wi-Fi
performance through 802.11ac beamforming technology, high power amplification
and exclusive ASUS RF fine-tuning.

The dual-band
DSL-AC68U wireless router provides connection speeds of up to 600Mbps on
the 2.4GHz N-band and 1.3Gbps on 5GHz AC-band, with both bands capable of operating independent
of one another. A web-based user interface provides quick and easy set-up, as

Miracast Dongle supports
dual-band wireless streaming for lag-free transmission of Full HD movies,
videos, and photos mobile devices onto a HDTV or monitor. Compatible with most
ASUS tablets, it provides real-time content mirroring with no need for internet
access and can be set up easily. The compact and portable ASUS Miracast Dongle weighs just 35g and measures 111 x 32 x 11mm.

ASUS
AiCloud 2.0 technology
transforms USB-attached storage into a personal cloud server, for easy remote
file access and media streaming from a laptop, smartphone and tablet. AiCloud also features a new
