The ROG Front Base gaming panel is one of ASUS’s latest motherboard add-on innovations. In fact, it has already been showcased at COMPUTEX 2013 in June last year. Recently, the official ASUS website has been updated with this product. This also means that this product will reach the different markets very soon.
ROG Front Base comes with a ROG logo imprinted on the product itself, signifying that this product is designed by the ROG Team.
Using 2 x 5.25 inch front panel slots, the ROG Front Base features a 4-inch LCD panel which allows one to control the CPU clock, various fan speeds and monitor the different temperatures at different areas of the computer. Motherboard information can also be retrieved directly from the front panel. The panel also provides unique features like “CPU Level-UP OC” button, a “Escape mode” button, “USB Charger” button, as well as a “Quick EQ Switch”. There are of course many other specific functions which we do not know at the moment.
In addition, the front panel also has a headphone and microphone jack.
The ROG Front Base supports all ROG Maximus VI Series motherboard, Rampage IV Black Edition as well as any other motherboard which has the ROG_EXT port.
