Singapore – Mercedes-Benz Financial Services (MBFS) Singapore continues its digital push of applications and has successfully launched three new online tools: an Online Payment Estimator, a customer online portal and the myMBFS Android app. Developed locally by the Daimler Financial Services Africa & Asia Pacific (DFS AAP) regional office and Singaporean app developer, Appvantage Pte Ltd, these digital initiatives are aimed at satisfying existing and new Mercedes-Benz customers by allowing them to interact directly with the brand.
Launched in August 2013, the new Online Payment Estimator provides visitors to the Mercedes-Benz website with the ability to estimate the monthly finance and insurance payments of current models on sale or estimate a monthly lease rate based on the latest Certificate of Entitlement (COE) price. Customers can then arrange a follow up for a quotation and test drive with the authorised dealership via an online form.
Also launched recently is the customer online portal, myMBFS.com.sg, that has been designed specifically to the needs of MBFS’ customers. The portal allows existing customers who finance their vehicles with MBFS to access their vehicle’s account information from anywhere at anytime to:
· View and print contract and account details
· Check payment status and repayment schedule
· Update personal information
· Obtain early payoff estimates
· Make service enquiries & send feedback
myMBFS.com.sg is also accessible from a Smartphone browser via a dedicated mobile version. Twenty percent of existing customers are actively using the account management tool only 8 weeks after its official launch.
Capping off the series of new applications is the release of the Android version of the myMBFS app, which was first launched in November 2012 for Apple’s iOS platform. This new release extends the app’s payment estimator features and other functions onto the popular Google operating system for mobile devices, and is fully compatible with Smartphones and tablets. The app has been downloaded over 5000 times country-wide since its introduction.
“The introduction of all three applications is part of a wider initiative aimed at enhancing our customers’ buying experience of Mercedes-Benz cars through digital platforms,” commented Mr. Wolfgang Huppenbauer, President and CEO of Daimler South East Asia. “The easy access to digital communication devices in Singapore also makes it an ideal place to develop such tools for our customers and we were able to realise our goals through local talent.”
All three applications developed in Singapore by Appvantage Pte Ltd have now been exported to 12 other markets in the DFS AAP region and localised to individual market’s needs.
The myMBFS app is available for free on the iTunes AppStore and Google Playstore. The Customer Online Portal and Online Payment Estimator can be accessed at the following respective URLs: http://mymbfs.com.sg andhttp://www.mbfs.com.sg/calculator
