According to technology website BGR, HTC is rumoured to launch a big-screen phablet version of the HTC One. The new smartphone is codenamed T6. This seems to be confirmed as at present, its detailed specifications and configurations have been exposed.
It is said that the HTC T6 comes with a 5.9 inch 1080p display and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 2.3GHz quad-core processor (MSM8974). It will also come with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built in storage capacity which can be expanded with microSD card. It will use a similar camera sensor as the HTC One for the rear camera, and features Ultrapixel technology with Optical Image Stabilization. T6 comes with a 2.1 Megapixel front camera. Finally, HTC tries to break the trend with including a higher capacity battery. Rated at 3300mAh, we are expecting that the device can last longer than a day. T6 should also come with Google’s Android Key Lime Pie OS.
Sourced said that HTC T6’s design is largely based on HTC One’s. It also inherited One’s BoomSound speakers and will come with a dedicated audio chip. T6 will come with a new version of BlinkFeed, and is rumoured to have a fingerprint sensor at the back body of the phone, allowing user authentication once the user holds the phone.
Additionally, T6 will also have a stylus and a special protective cover that comes with an extra 1250mAh expanded battery. This device is said to be launched in late summer or early fall, competing heads on with Samsung’s Galaxy Note III.
