News confirmed that AMD will be officially releasing a new dual-GPU Radeon HD 7990 card on the 24th this month, a week away from now.
Multiple sources confirmed that the new HD 7990 which is based on two Tahiti chip will be launched on the 24th.
The dual-slot Radeon HD 7990 is codenamed “Malta”, and is different as compared to previously launched HD 7970 x2 from various manufacturers( Think ARES II etc). The card will require 2 EPS 8 pin power connector and will provide 4 mini DisplayPort and a single Dual Link DVI port.
It has been claimed that some foreign media have already received and tested the new Radeon HD 7990. There has been no news on the selling price and general availability of the product yet.
