Generally, Samsung gives a different impression to buyers, probably because they came late into the laptop race in Singapore market, deterring buyers from the brand.
Samsung is 2nd in Tablet shipments |
However, with Windows 8, the whole game is going to change. Samsung’s popularity with their Tabs and other slates will give them a boost in the laptop market, especially when there is now a blurring of the line between laptops and tablets. Every next generation laptop will come with a touch screen and Samsung is just so well known for them. Even the first Windows 8 device given out from Microsoft’s BUILD conference last year was from Samsung. With name and fame in tablet markets, Samsung will be able to gain significant advantage into the laptop/tablet market for Windows 8.
Ask yourself that question : Will you get a Samsung laptop? Probably no. Will you get yourself a Samsung tablet? Probably yes! (Shoo! Apple fanboys..)
I’m forecasting that Samsung will be one of the bigger players in convertible tablet pc markets for Windows 8 if they have some more interesting products to show us. Probably, something never seen before, something that creates hype and excitement in end users (which they have been doing very well with their android smartphones) to give them a further innovatuve value addedness to their product lineup. The future for Samsung is bright. How bright will it get? That depends on how Samsung play the game for the market…
